At camp, girls can build a tent, build a campfire, build a life-long friendship. That’s what camp life is all about… and that’s just the beginning. Under the stars and outdoors girls learn to lead and make memories. They find mentors and become mentors. The magic of camp changes lives and lasts a lifetime.
Invest in the gift of camp and help a Girl Scout find herself under the stars and in the wilderness. With many oportunites to give, the sky's the limit to how you can make an impact and change a life.

For more than 70 years Skyland Ranch – the camp that cookies built – has been a special location for women and girls! One of the first and remaining Girl Scouting camps in the nation, Skyland touches the sky, lofting 5000 feet above the California desert valleys below.
The breeze rustles leaves and tosses needles, songbirds twill, and small mammals scramble across sticks and stones, providing a symphony of sound. The air is free and clear, with clouds billowing overhead. Standing at the edge of a rock ledge, the expanse of the desert below kisses the Salton Sea, fault lines well within view, and Joshua Tree National Park looks back from across the valley floor. At night, a million stars cascade into view, and the pine trees create a canopy of safety.
We honor this special location by caring for a camp facility that maintains the sacred nature of the place alongside offering the best in modern facilities for learning leadership and communication skills, having equestrian experiences, and developing skills in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). By assuring a modern and integrated facility at Skyland Ranch, its stewards – the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council – are committed to creating and sustaining a location that leads to a unique awareness of the interconnectedness of people and environment.
But Skyland Ranch needs our help. While the natural environment remains spectacular, our facilities no longer match the exceptional location. The Legacy Counts Campaign is established to raise the funds needed to bring camping facilities, outdoor learning environments, sporting opportunities, natural gardens, and horse camp spaces to offer the best in environmental and experiential education to girls for generations to come.
We honor Skylanders; dedicated women and men whose love for and appreciation of Skyland Ranch is reflected in personal commitments to this special place. Recognition as a Skylander is available to any benefactor that meets certain requirements. To discuss becoming a Skylander or major gift and naming opportunities, email Jernine McBride or call her at 909-534-2473.
Skyland Ranch provides outdoor experiences to develop girls’ leadership potential by allowing them to discover their values and the world around them; connect with others in a multicultural environment; and take action to make a difference in their world. We continue to upgrade the facilities and resources at this vast 191-acre camp in our pursuit to make it self-sustainable. Skyland Ranch is first and foremost a Girl Scout Camp, a place where programming features a variety of fun and challenging activities that empower girls as they develop skills and behaviors essential to effective leadership. The camp is now also an effective community resource for the schools in our region who engage in programming at the facility during the school year. This past school year we succeeded in serving over 3,500 students at Skyland Ranch! The community also came to our aid as members from the California Conservation Corps put in a massive amount of hard work in cutting the trees, clearing branches, and beautifying the area to continue making Skyland Ranch a safe place.
So many great things for camp are happening and we are not done yet! We were successful in raising the funds needed for the initial investment to begin preparing Camp Azalea Trails to reopen and plan to schedule an open house in the spring. More details will follow at a later date. While Azalea Trails is being prepped, the beautiful Camp Wi-Wo-Ca is available for our troops to experience the outdoors. Many individuals, corporations, and foundations have chosen to contribute to our camps over the years and we invite you to join them in preserving our camps for future generations.

Remember those glorious days at camp with your friends? Surrounded by fresh air and nature, singing, skits and s’mores around the campfire, sleeping outside or maybe in a yurt, and hiking to beautiful places are some of the memories held so dearly by Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council (GSSGC) members who spent days and nights at our beloved Camp Azalea Trails.
After four years of non-use due to accessibility issues, our beautiful camp will soon be available for troop and group use. Much needs to be done to prepare AzaleaTrails for the return of our girls. Buildings and yurts need minor repairs, painting and significant cleaning; the water system needs to be repaired and stabilized; trees need to be trimmed; weed abatement is mandatory and steps must be taken for fire prevention; and additional work needs to be done to the road into camp to ensure the safe passage of vehicles.
Through a generous matching gift, clean up and revitalization has started on our beloved Camp Azalea Trails.
With any level of donation to camperships, you or your company can support girls from underserved communities to experience the wonder of camp. The expense of camp can be a barrier to girls getting into nature and experiencing the joy, friendship, learning, and growth that comes with it. With your support, individual girls are given need-based financial aid to make their camp dreams a reality. Your sponsorship enables GSSGC to serve more girls in the Inland Empire area.
