Skyland-Ranch

Camp Skyland Ranch

About
skyland_patch_2

In November of 2016 Camp Skyland Ranch joined the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio family. Located in the San Jacinto Mountains, Skyland Ranch is at an elevation of around 5,000 feet in the high desert chaparral, giving plenty of open spaces to explore under the pine trees during the summer AND the winter. Although it is a new adventure for our girls, Camp Skyland Ranch has been part of the Girl Scout family for over 65 years and has rich history and traditions we are happy to share and build on.

During the summer, girls entering 2nd grade may play and grow with a buddy or by themselves in one of our themed sleep-away camp sessions.  And all girls can have a parent or guardian join them at one of the weekend camps. Some of our program options include archery, horseback riding*, land canoes, crafts, games, fencing and enjoying activities based on the theme of your session. Join us for a summer of fun at Camp Skyland Ranch!

*Weather permitting, ALL girls enjoy a 15-minute trail ride at Skyland Ranch during the summer. Sign up for a horse unit for more riding opportunities!

With Skyland Ranch, GSSGC has embarked on a journey to where a girl can find herself in a place where cutting edge meets natural beauty. A place where the sky is the limit and the galaxy is her textbook. A place where friendships and inner self are just waiting to be discovered. We invite you to join us on this journey. We promise it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to help a girl change her world. Find out more about our Legacy Counts campaign and the fun that awaits you at camp by visiting our Camp Skyland Ranch website.

Horse camp girls have an optional overnight (weather and experience permitting) down at horses.  Girls will spend most of their day at horses; however, they will also get to enjoy some of our more traditional camp activities like archery, land canoeing, crafts and games.

Summer 2021:  LIT (Leader-in-Training)

For summer 2021 we have had to make a few changes.  Girls will be enjoying spending more time in units; which meets the Riverside County cohort guidelies.  Due to this Guidance in Summer 2021 girls will be able to register as a Leader-in-Training for one or more sessions.  During this program girls will be taking leadership training before camp and doing on-the-job training while at camp.  LIT girls will be working alongside trained camp counselors to craete fun engaging experiences for younger Girl Scouts.

About

Camp Azalea Trails (Camp A.T.) has been operated by the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio for over 75 years. It is a place of friendship, belonging, traditions and adventure. Azalea Trails’ small size allows girls in every session to form friendships throughout camp – friendships that last from year to year. At an elevation of over 6,400 feet, the camp is surrounded by beautiful canyons, a tranquil stream and hundreds of pine trees. It’s the perfect secluded spot to just be a kid and explore nature.

Girls entering 2nd grade may play and grow with a buddy or by themselves in one of our themed camp sessions. And all girls can have a parent or guardian join them at one of the weekend camps. Camp Azalea Trails a treasure trove of everything girls want. Program opportunities include archery, fencing, hiking, crafting, cooking and a ropes course.  Depending on which session you choose, there will be other fun themed activities.
