Alum

Once a Girl Scout always a Girl Scout to us.  We invite you to help Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio  prepare girls to empower themselves and promote G.I.R.L (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)TM experiences. Remember the excitement of your first Girl Scout adventure? Well, it’s still out there and right in your own back yard.  Rejoin the fun and help us inspire girls. Getting involved is as simple as registering with our local Girl Scout Alumni Association (it’s free!).  We are Girl Scouts. We build robots, build campfires, build life-long friendships. We take action; we make the world a better place. We’re waiting for you! Click here to make new friends and find the old.

Mission Statement

The mission of the San Gorgonio Alumni Association is to support a diverse, active community of girls throughout the San Gorgonio Council, by empowering an inclusive, multi-cultural and encouraging community of alumni in volunteer opportunities, networking and personal development experiences.

Vision

The Alumni Association mobilizes the power of talented alumni to promote and provide a meaningful community for adults who live life with Girl Scout values.

Strategic Plan

Three initiatives were chosen for special focus and task forces for each focus area are being formed:

Alumni Association Community
The alumni community includes current Girl Scout members, volunteers, past girl and adult members, just-in-time Girl Scouts, and community partners--those who identify with our mission to serve girls. The Alumni Association Community Task Force will create a sense of unity, by providing a consistent and well-rounded experience with interactive, growth, and volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Diversity
The diversity task force is committed to ensuring the Steering Committee, Alumni Association, and Council reflect our diverse population. A diverse Alumni Association that represents our community – ethnically, geographically, economically, and by age – will provide expertise to overcome the varied challenges that our girls face.

College & Career Readiness
The College and Career Readiness Task Force recognizes young peoples’ desires to be better prepared for college and their future careers. The task force focuses on creating readiness opportunities and securing ongoing resources such as job shadowing, mentorships and workshops about soft skills (like résumé writing) for alumni that are 18 or older. Ultimately, task force members will utilize their expertise to ensure that our alumni, particularly the recent alumni, have the skills to make confident education and career choices.
