DESCRIPTIONS:

Mad Scientist; Tricky Scientist

  • Age:  Entering 2nd - 12th grade
  • Cost:  $600

Meet the Skyland Ranch team as we become Mad Scientists ready to trick our friends and family with science fun.  Skyland will become a place where science and magic and experiments meet.  We will spend the week learning about science, conducting experiments, and learning impossible tricks that use science to fool your family.  Spend a day finding out where science has been hiding in your home through density, static electricity, and more. Be a kitchen chemist and play with home science at Mad Science.  Make something change colors or explode every day.

Horse Camp

  • Age:  Entering 4th - 12th grade
  • Cost:  $750
  • To register for advanced horse camp girls need to have at least 2 years of Girl Scout horse camp or take riding lessons at home.

Enjoy time horsin’ around with the horses, other campers, and our riding staff becoming more confident in your ability while developing lasting friendships and learning the fundamentals of riding and horse care.  Learn about saddling, grooming, feeding, basic horse care and riding skills.  Riding ability determines participation in certain activities.  The Riding Staff is comprised of horse lovers from all over the world eager to share their knowledge with campers. Emphasis in all programs is on Western Style instruction, ring work and horse care.  Some of the fun activities include gymkhana, an overnight experience, teaching others, washing/bathing horses, and of course riding and grooming.  All activities are weather permitting.  Campers are placed in groups with their buddy according to their shared horse experience.

  • All camp is contingent upon current health department criteria; we are in contact with the health department to collaborate on camp operation this summer.  As with the rest of California business we expect to be able to continue operating; however, the safety of our children is our priority.  If we are unable to offer camp due to a resurgence of the virus we will inform families ASAP.  Please check our website for our current policies and procedures related to cancelations and refunds.
