Come Explore the World of Cybersecurity at CSUSB’s GenCyber Virtual Camp

A sinister group has successfully infiltrated the GenCyber network, and we need your help to find the hackers!
Become a Cybersecurity Professional to figure out the incident, what data was stolen, what machines were compromised, who the intruders were, and how to secure the GenCyber network for the future.
Before tackling this situation, you must earn your Cybersecurity Professional patches by going through extensive training that prepares you for the challenges ahead.
Participants will learn about encryption, social engineering TTP (tactics, techniques, and procedures), penetration testing, cyber defense mechanisms, and cyber safety! CSUSB faculty, students, and industry professionals will run activities.
Dates & Times:
GenCyber requires student attendance at all dates listed:
April 1 drop in anytime 11am -12pm or 6pm-7pm
April 10 9:00am – 11:00am
April 17, 24, May 1, 8 9:00am – 12:00pm
May 15 9:00am – 11:00am
In addition, girls will need to spend approximately 3 additional hours per week on projects between sessions.
What technology is required for GenCyber?
Participants will need access to a computer and reliable wifi that will connect to zoom with a camera on for each Saturday. Participants need at least 3 - 4 additional hours per week to complete work on projects between sessions.
Can adults volunteer at GenCyber?
Yes, registered and background checked adults who are available to assist for the full series are welcomed to volunteer. Volunteers will be selected based on need. Please complete the registration form if you are interested in volunteering.
