SR6 - Skyland Ranch Summer Resident Camp - Cookng & Horses
Dates: July 27-31
Age: Entering 2nd – 12th grade
With cooking sprinkled throughout the week girls get to have all the fun of camp and still make yummy things to eat while they learn the basics of cooking – heat, measuring, ingredients, and method. Girls will create a cookbook, make jam, tortillas, and use a number of different cooking methods. In between cooking delicious food campers will participate in traditional camp activities including arts and crafts, archery, fencing, hiking and more.
Includes: All Program materials & activities, patch, meals & snacks, transportation from Redlands, lodging, & trained camp counselors as chaperones.

Age: Entering 4th – 12th grade
Spend time in nature with you and your new horse friends. Learn about saddling, grooming, feeding, basic horse care and riding skills. Riding ability determines participation in certain activities. Emphasis in all programs is on Western Style instruction, ring work and horse care. Girls will spend much of their day with horses, however still get to try some of our more traditional camp activities like archery, land canoeing, crafts and games. All activities are weather permitting.
Volunteer Opportunity: Limited space for Adult Volunteers must be background screened and additional training is required prior to the weekend. Adult volunteers are free & can request funds from the volunteer fund to cover a portion of their daughter’s camp fees. Visit gssgc.org/outdoors for the current process to apply.
