It’s A Girl Thing

Age Level: Ages 9-12 only
This age-appropriate class, conducted by a medical professional, covers the basics about female puberty. We do not discuss male anatomy/puberty, personal practices, abstinence/contraception, STDs, etc.; those are discussions for you to continue at home. This is a mother/daughter or female guardian event. For more information, review the course outline.

Pink Pinewood Derby

Age Level: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, Adults
Race your car to victory at our amazing Pink Pinewood Derby! Join us in the morning to build your race car or bring your own creation to life. Then test your engineering skills on our racetrack! We will have people and equipment ready to help build the perfect race car.  And extra cars, weights, and decals are available for purchase. This event is open to the public, so bring your friends, your brothers and sisters, moms and dads down to join the fun! Hope to see you and your family there!

Riverside Art Museum Overnighter: Sleeping Under the Stars

Age Level:Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors
Explore the Riverside Art Museum after closing.  And after a night of fun, you can fall asleep under the stars on our rooftop (or Atrium if it’s too cold). Includes: exploration of our exhibits, painting on canvas, instructions from a pro artist. Also, making a jewelry stand out of plaster, making your own necklace and earrings. Hands-on educational work stations, a scavenger hunt in the Museum and a culinary competition in the kitchen, maybe cupcake wars…Br. work on Painting badge, Jr. work on Jeweler badge.

Overnight at the Victorville Museum

Age Level: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors
This is a very special night at the museum. We will arrive at 10:00 am (bring a sack lunch) and we will do some take-action projects while the museum is open to the public. After closing, you will have an hour or so to grab dinner with your family or you can bring a sack dinner.  Then, you will be locked in at 6 pm. After closing, there will be some on-site fun, scavenger hunts, hands-on projects, arts and crafts; and we will discover and connect to our community by learning new and exciting things about where we live! Space is limited so secure your spot now!

GenCyber

GenCyber is a fun-filled week of drones, hacking, internet safety, team building and cyber security. Hosted at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), Girls will interact and be mentored by industry professionals, CSUSB Faculty and Students. This program is generously funded by the National Science Foundation and other amazing donors!

Outreach Programs:
Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council is committed to serving ALL girls…no matter what. We believe every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow and explore. With this goal in mind, we have a variety of outreach programs available to bring out the leader in every girl.

Girls Beyond Bars

Girls Beyond Bars provides support for families impacted by incarceration. Girls and their caretakers meet monthly for programming. Through this program, girls are offered a consistent environment to grow and learn.

Who can participate: Girls who have an incarcerated parent and their families

The award-winning Classroom to Career program introduces girls to STEM career fields through site visits and interactions with female professionals.
